1 • Introduction

1.1 Overview of SIS•ICON

SIS•ICON is software developed for the Windows 10 and 11 (64-bit) environment, designed for centralized image management. It supports a wide range of formats (BMP, PNG, AVIF...) and offers efficient organization tools through a system of groups and folders, facilitating the structuring of visual resources.

1.2 Software Goals

SIS•ICON centralizes the management of image templates in a clear and intuitive interface. Users can structure their visuals using groups and folders without worrying about formats or resolutions. The software automatically handles conversions, ensures broad compatibility, and offers optimized exports (WebP, AVIF) to enhance web performance.

1.3 Target Audience

SIS•ICON is aimed at graphic design professionals, web and mobile developers, as well as users looking to effectively structure their workflow. The features allow for quick generation of consistent visuals, optimization of formats for the web, and automation of recurring tasks through predefined templates.

1.4 Technologies Used

The software is based on technologies such as C++ 20, WinUI 3, XAML, and Windows App SDK 1.7. It also integrates ImageMagick for image processing, along with Font Awesome and Material Design icon libraries.

2 • Installation Guide

2.1 Requirements

SIS•ICON is compatible only with Windows 10 or Windows 11 in 64-bit version. The recommended minimum configuration includes a processor equivalent to an Intel Core i5-10400 or an AMD Ryzen 5 3600, as well as at least 16 GB of RAM.

2.2 Installation

To install SIS•ICON on a Windows computer, download the installer from the official site icon.sis-soft.net. Once the file is downloaded, run it to start the installation. The software installs automatically in the default Windows directory. Upon first launch, Windows SmartScreen may display a warning indicating that the file is not digitally signed. In this case, click on "More info," then "Run anyway" to continue the installation.

3 • Interface Guide

3.1 Interface Overview

The horizontal title bar is located at the top of the interface. The rest of the space is divided vertically into two parts: a left part, referred to in the documentation as the "left panel," and a right part, designated as the "central panel."

3.2 The Title Bar

The title bar includes the logo on the left, a menu accessible on hover, a centered title, and system controls (minimize, maximize, close) on the right. The menu appears automatically when the cursor is moved to the left edge of this bar.

3.3 The Left Panel

Create Group button.

Dropdown List : Allows selecting a group to generate elements from it or edit it. To deselect, a right-click is sufficient.

Image Processing Zone : This multifunction interface automatically displays the selected image and allows you to choose a file by clicking on it. Drag-and-drop of files is also supported. To reset the image and selection, a right-click is sufficient.

Generate Button : Starts the image generation process. This button is only functional when a group and an image are selected.

3.4 The Central Panel

At the top, the group name, associated visual, and the number of templates organized by format are displayed. The bottom part offers a tree structure reflecting the hierarchy of folders and templates of the selected group. The first level always corresponds to the group itself.

5 • Glossary

5.1 • Group

A group refers to an entity that encompasses folders and templates. The name assigned to the group also determines the output folder where generated images will be saved.

5.2 • Folder

The folder allows for a hierarchical organization of templates. Its name and location define the structure of subfolders during visual generation. A folder can contain other folders or templates.

5.3 • Template

A template groups several export parameters, such as format, resolution, resizing, and cropping, to produce a consistent and reusable visual output. This approach allows for more efficient management of production operations.

6 • Updates

The software does not offer automatic updates.
⚠️ To benefit from the latest version, it is necessary to visit the official site and manually retrieve the latest version.

The SIS•ICON license is granted perpetually for use on a Windows machine, subject to compliance with the terms of use.

License Details :

Type : Perpetual license (one-time purchase)
Number of activations : One license allows use on a single machine.
Simultaneous use : A separate license is required for each parallel installation.
